1. A particular species of fish will be pursued each calendar month from January through November.
2. Boats must leave out of Nassau County waters and return to Nassau county waters. All bank fishing must be done in Nassau County.
3. Charter captains and crews are not eligible when engaged in charters operations.
4. All fish must be weighed in at Atlantic Seafood or Leaders and Sinkers as soon as possible.
5. Members fishing on charter outings are eligible except as mentioned above.
6. The angler must present all weigh slips in person at the regular monthly NSFA business meeting for the appropriate species. Sheepshead slips at the Feb. meeting, seabass slips at the March meeting etc.
7. Fish presented for fish of the month may not have been entered in any other contest.
8. In the event of a duplicate weight slip the winner will be decided by earliest weigh in time/date on slip. This also applies to ties for Angler of the year for the month of Nov. Two anglers both weighed in Nov. fish of the month and are tied in points / largest then date then time for Angler of the year standings.
9. All anglers submitting weigh slips will accumulate points toward the Angler of the Year. 1st place monthly will be awarded 4 points, 2nd place 3 points,  3rd place 2 points and non-winning weigh slip 1 point.Monthly winners will receive $40 for 1st place, $30 for 2nd place and $20 for 3rd place.
10. High point winners at the end of November will be presented the following awards at the  will be  annual Christmas party: 1st Place -$200 and Plaque; 2nd Place - $100 and Plaque; 3rd Place - Plaque
11. TWT Anytime between January thru November. A grand slam can be weighed in consisting of 1 Redfish, 1 Trout, and 1 Flounder caught on the same day. Only one fish out of the slam can be submitted for fish of the month for the appropriate month. All fish must be on the same weigh-in slip and turned in at anytime during the year at the business meeting. $150 will be awarded at the Christmas party to the winner and $75 will be awarded to the second place finisher
